Kylian Mbappe is one of the most sought-after players on the planet right now.
The 21-year-old is having another fantastic season – he has 21 goals and 12 assists in 22 games for PSG in all competitions – and that has once again led to him being linked with a host of clubs around the world. Real Madrid are said to be pursuing him, whilst Liverpool have also been mentioned as a potential destination.
Call yourself a Liverpool expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?
Now, he has been speaking about the Reds in an interview with BBC Sport. He was asked for his thoughts on the Anfield outfit, and he had plenty of praise for them, saying they are like “a machine”.
Unsurprisingly, this has got plenty of Liverpool fans talking, and it seems there is a consensus that these quotes means the PSG star – whose side will face Dortmund in the next round of the Champions League – is on his way to them.
Given his form this season, you can understand the fans’ excitement. However, with Los Merengues sniffing around, they would have a fight on their hands to sign him if they were to make their apparent interest more concrete.
Meanwhile, others are impressed by his level of English.
Bearing in mind he is French, most supporters will be far more used to seeing him speak in his mother-tongue with subtitles added. But does this mean he is preparing for a move to Anfield? Don’t count on it – given his superstar status at a young age, he probably understands that it is an important language for him to speak.
Expect the Mbappe to Liverpool rumours to continue in the coming months…
