Jorginho was thought to be a major target, but the Napoli midfielder ended up following Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea.

While speaking to Sky Sports, the City boss confirmed that the club will not be bringing in any more new faces before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

City fans have given mixed responses to Guardiola’s claims, with some blaming director of football Txiki Begiristain for the lack of signings.
