Gallagher looked set for Chelsea exitAston Villa and Tottenham linkedBlues may offer midfielder new dealWHAT HAPPENED?
Gallagher has been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit for much of the season, with Aston Villa and Tottenham keeping tabs on the 24-year-old. However, claims there has been a 'change in the noise' around the midfielder's future. Previously, the Blues were looking to sell their academy product for £50 million ($64.2m), but he is said to favour staying at the west London side so something of a U-turn could happen.

Chelsea looked primed to sell Gallagher this summer amid ongoing fears of profit and sustainability breaches. However, they have denied they are under pressure to make sales before the June 30 accounting deadline and this reported shift could see him stay put at the Blues after all. But, a new contract would need to be agreed, else he could leave for free in the summer of 2025.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Guardian adds, however, that Gallagher's situation remains 'unpredictable' as there have been informal talks with Villa about doing a swap deal with him and their striker Jhon Duran. Moreover, there is reportedly yet to be any 'proper move' towards Gallagher's representatives about a new deal.
