According to the Express and Star, Wolves have accepted a bid from Leeds United for left-back Barry Douglas and fans of the West Midlands club have been expressing their disappointment on Twitter.
Douglas excelled in boss Nuno Espirito Santo’s first season at the club last year and recorded 14 assists and five goals in 39 Championship appearances as Wolves stormed the league, racking up 99 points and gaining promotion to the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has previously played at left-midfield during his career, so it was no surprise to many that he adapted so quickly to Santo’s wing-back role.
Now though, as Wolves adapt their squad for life in the Premier League, Douglas looks set to return to the Championship with a £5m bid accepted from Leeds.
The Express and Star also reports that Spanish left-back Jonny Castro is set to sign on loan from Atletico Madrid, to add to the signing of fellow left-back Ruben Vinagre this summer.
Although Wolves fans have not had too much to be disappointed about recently, many on Twitter were upset to see Douglas leave. Check out some of the best tweets here.
