Manchester United are progressing in their talks to sign an “exciting” £33 million player in the summer, according to an update this week.
Man Utd transfer news
Given how the season is going for the Red Devils, Ruben Amorim and INEOS are expected to be rather ruthless with the current squad at Old Trafford, as departures are still needed if the club want to spend big in the summer.
Man Utd make verbal contract offer to "monster" with £62m release clause
Amorim is in desperate need of goals and INEOS have an eye on a player who has no problem in that department.

One player who looks set for a future away from Manchester is winger Antony, as he joined Real Betis on loan for the remainder of the campaign, where he has three goals to his name, and he is now being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
It’s been reported that Bayern have opened talks to sign the Brazilian, with United looking to get around £42 million for his services, which could happen if he continues to keep performing in La Liga.
In terms of arrivals, Man United have made a verbal contract offer to Victor Osimhen, as they look to sign the Nigeria international in the summer. United, along with Paris Saint-Germain, have made contract offers and have made it clear that they are willing to pay his £62 million release clause, as an exit from Napoli looks very likely.

But a deal for Osimhen is not the only matter United are discussing, as according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who told Give Me Sport, Man United are advancing their discussions over a deal to sign Geovany Quenda from Sporting.
Jacobs has revealed that Quenda is keen on a move to Old Trafford, as he wants to reunite with his former manager, and while talks are progressing, both United and Sporting remain apart in their valuation for the player.
“Yeah, I think the player is certainly keen on a move to Manchester United, and talks are progressing to see whether something can be pre-agreed ahead of the summer,” Jacobs told Give Me Sport.
“Manchester United’s valuation is below that of Sporting’s. They feel that the player is worth in the region of 40 million euros (£33 million), whereas Sporting’s perspective is that the number that he should be sold for is closer to the 60 million mark (£50 million). So that gulf in valuation is something that all parties are going to have to work on.”

Quenda, who has been dubbed an “exciting” player by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, would be an ideal signing for the Red Devils, as he would slot straight into their right wing-back role, which is currently occupied by Diogo Dalot.
At 17, United would be buying a raw player, but someone who has huge potential and clearly has the trust of Amorim, and that is key, as the United boss will want a side that he sees fits his style and game plan and therefore will help bring success to Old Trafford.
